Each Rolex movement is submitted to rigorous testing by Swiss Official Cronometer Testing Institute (COSC), an independent, not-for-profit organisation. For 15 days and 15 nights, each movement is tested in five different positions and subjected to three different temperatures. To be certified as a Swiss Chronometer, the movement must successfully pass the COSC testing.
